Significant places include Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Depot, Freight House and Train Shed, Fort Snelling, Washburn A Mill Complex, Hagel Family Farm and Minneapolis Warehouse Historic District.

Several famous people are associated with these Hennepin County historic places including R.F. Jones and Charles S. Pillsbury.

Some of the country's most noteable architects helped create the Hennepin County places including Charles Frost, Col. Josiah Snelling, Frederick Hagel, Ard Godfrey, Gillette--Herzog Co., Barnett & Record Co., Warren B. Dunnell, Horace W.S. Cleveland, H.W.S. Cleveland and Gerald E. Carlson.
