Salt Lake County Utah (Page 7) has 50 places on the National Register of Historic Places including 3 places of National significance and 18 places of Statewide significance. Significant places include St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, Summit Stake Tabernacle, Temple Square, Sandy Tithing Office and Sears--Bennett Paint and Glass Company Building.

Many famous people are associated with these Salt Lake County historic places including George Albert Smith, W.S. McCornick, Maude May Babcock, William H. Folsom, Frank Merriam Ulmer and Russel L. Tracy.

Some of the country's most noteable architects helped create the Salt Lake County places including Richard Upjohn, T.L. Allen, Richard K.A. Kletting, Hope & Burton, Latter Day Saints Church, Jehu Cox, Villadsen Brothers, Big Cottonwood Power Company, R.M. Jones and Hurley Howell.
