Significant places include St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, Summit Stake Tabernacle, Temple Square, Stairs Station Hydroelectric Power Plant Historic District and Stratford Hotel.

Many famous people are associated with these Salt Lake County historic places including Frank Merriam Ulmer, Russel L. Tracy, W.S. McCornick, William H. Folsom and Maude May Babcock.
