Significant places include Fort Davidson, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and Iron County Courthouse Buildings and Ursuline Academy--Arcadia College Historic District.
Some of the country's most noteable architects helped create the Iron County places including Gen. J.W. Davidson, August Gockel, Thomas F. Imbs and George A. Buckey. Prominent architectural styles found in Iron Country are Gothic Revival, Greek Revival and Italianate.
