Rutland County Vermont (Historic Districts) has 22 places on the National Register of Historic Places including 20 places of Statewide significance. Significant places include Benson Village, Brandon State School, Brandon Village Historic District, Castleton Village Historic District and Danby Village Historic District.

Several famous people are associated with these Rutland County historic places including Timothy K. Horton, A.W. Gray and Nichols Montgomery Powers.
