Significant places include Aiport Clear Zone Archeological Site, Bethune, Mary McLeod, Home, Blanchette Archeological Site, City Island Ball Park and First Presbyterian Church Archeological Site.

Many famous people are associated with these Volusia County historic places including Mary McLeod Bethune, Henry Deland, Harrison G. Rhodes, Seth French, Harding, Warren, et al. and Henry A. DeLand.
